Extended Care Program

All registered Roncalli Elementary School and Roncalli Middle School students are welcome to utilize our Extended Care Program when school is in session. A registration form and calendar must be filled out before extended care may be used. The Extended Care Program is held at both our elementary and middle school sites.
 

Hours of operation:
Roncalli Elementary School:
Before-School Extended Care: 6:30 a.m. to the start of the school day
After-School Extended Care (3K to fourth-grade): 3:15 to 6 p.m.

Roncalli Middle School:
Before-School Extended Care: 6:30 a.m. - 7:45 a.m.
After-School Extended Care: 3:15 to 6 p.m. (must take shuttle bus to Roncalli Elementary School)

Schedule:
Before-school extended care will operate every day that school is in session. After-school extended care is open on FULL school days only. There will be no after-school extended care on scheduled early dismissal days or early release days due to inclement weather. If the school is closed for vacations or inclement weather, all extended care programs will be closed. 

*Before and after school extended care must be used if it is necessary for a student to arrive at Roncalli Elementary School before 8 a.m. or before 7:35 a.m. at Roncalli Middle School.  If a student cannot be picked up at the elementary school by 3:25 p.m., after-school extended care must again be used. Middle school students may utilize after-school extended care by taking the shuttle bus to the elmentary school. This is for the safety of all students. There is no playground supervision before 8 a.m. or after 3:25 p.m. at the elementary school, or before 7:35.a.m. or after 3:10 p.m. at the middle school.

2020-21 Extended Care Fees: 
All fees noted below are for the 2020-21 school year and are subject to possible change.

Family Registration Fees:
Any family using our extended care programs will be charged a non-refundable fee of $15 per family due at time of registration. 

Hourly Fees: 
           $5 per hour for the first student
           $2.50 per hour for each additional student
           $5 late pick-up fee after 6 p.m. 
*All billing will be done in 15-minute increments.
         
All student attendance time and charges will be tracked and assessed through the FACTs financial management portal.

The nurturing staff in our on-site Extended Care Program are there for students who need to arrive at school early in the morning or stay later after school. Before school, students can purchase a healthy breakfast and have time to ease into their school day. After school, they have a chance to work on homework and unwind in a safe setting.
