The Roncalli High School Board of Directors representing the Catholic parishes in the region has chosen Roncalli Catholic Schools as the name of the PreK-Grade 12 regional school. Led by Bishop David Ricken, the board has established the school to serve families who wish to educate their children in a Catholic school.
In other action at the recent Board of Directors’ meeting, John Stelzer, who currently is the president of Roncalli High School, has been appointed as the first president of Roncalli Catholic Schools. Bishop Ricken has strongly advocated the mission of schools and parishes in the Green Bay Diocese. “The establishment of Roncalli Catholic Schools continues the strong tradition of Catholic school education in the greater lakeshore area. Roncalli Catholic Schools is the heart of our mission to form households and communities of discipleship in Jesus Christ. I can think of no better person than John Stelzer to be president of Roncalli Catholic Schools.” John Stelzer commented “I feel very blessed to be called to help lead our Catholic school. I am excited to work more closely with our students, parents, parishes, and our community to help students grow spiritually and academically. Our Catholic schools, parishes, and families will strive to guide young people to a closer relationship with Jesus while helping them become missionary disciples. I strongly believe that we can improve upon an already excellent education through additional collaboration. We will be even stronger by combining resources while working with families and students. The faculty and staff of our schools have embraced this tremendous opportunity to work together.”
Registration for all grade levels will begin in February, 2020. Roncalli Catholic Schools will continue to invite families from all economic backgrounds to join us through our Flexible Tuition Aid program and the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program which offers free tuition for qualifying families. The school also offers transportation services for families from an over
30-mile radius of the school campuses.
There has been a 20% enrollment growth in our PreK-Grade 8 programs over the past four years. We will continue to make our Catholic school education both affordable and accessible to all families.
